I'd still rather go with but, if he drops out, Harris obviously moves up to be the presidential nominee.

Who should she select as a running mate?

Thinking about it, I came up with Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD). He comes from a safe Democratic distict but, more importantly, he can speak specifically about because he was on .

He's survived cancer twice, and is generally respected across party lines. Because of his J6 work, he's a recognizable face.

@WordsmithFL I love Jamie Raskin but having had cancer twice might scare off voters. Moskowitz would do great too. Buttigieg without a doubt. Of course in my wildest fantasies... AOC, Jasmine Crockett and Katie Porter.

@Liliki Pete would be my first choice, but I think it might be too much for conservative-leaning independents. A black woman and a gay running mate?! I have no problem with it, but I think a lot of voters would.

@WordsmithFL that's one of the reasons for the gradual death of democracy.

@Liliki There's the old adage, "Democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." Credited to Churchill, although taken out of context.
