Utopia of the Seas, docked at Port Canaveral, reportedly the second largest cruise ship in the world.

Looks like a battlestar to me ...

@LnzyHou The word that comes to my mind is "excess."

It's the example terrorist groups show to their recruits when they want to prove the West is decadent.

@LnzyHou My wife dragged me onto one with her family. I found it boring and a colossal waste of time. It was all about eating and drinking alcohol. I stayed in the cabin as much as I could to work on my laptop, or went to find a quiet lounge where I could read.

@WordsmithFL

While tons of sewage were discharged into the ocean.

@WordsmithFL @LnzyHou the only ones that ever made sense to me are the smaller ones that go from port to port during the night. That way they take care of your transportation and sleeping accommodations

@ibid My wife wants me to take a cruise that goes through the Panama Canal. THREE DAYS THROUGH THE LOCKS. It sounds excruciatingly boring.

@LnzyHou

@WordsmithFL @LnzyHou I've got a cousin who LOVES cruises. She's on one right now near Norway. Had to fly from TX to London, then up to .... I forget. Anyhow, she loves them. When they hit ports, she does the tours.

@GeezerWench @WordsmithFL

Obviously lots of people like them. Huge industry. My hair stylist said they were served 11 meals a day. He gained 15 lbs in one week.

@WordsmithFL I hate that thing. It wouldn't even look nice as a reef.
