I don't understand why you don't consider the poll results bad news for Biden. If we were considering two similar candidates, it would be reasonable to expect a tied race. This is not the case. Biden is running against a terrible candidate, a felon, a rapist, a racist who runs on a fascist platform. It should be easy for Biden to poll at 20% higher. The fact that the race is tied is a big reason for concern because it might mean that Biden can't increase his votes any further.

No unicorns. Harris, Newsom, and Whitmer are all polling above Trump in the Marist poll and others. They are polling close to Biden despite the fact that they are not campaigning and don't have the national platform that Biden has. As soon as Biden endorses one of them, they will shoot up in the polls.

Basic math tells us that 20% higher than 50% is 60%.
Show me one poll that shows any Democrat polling 60% against Trump.
The NPR-Marist poll shows no statistically significant difference between Biden, Harris, or Newsom.

You don't realize that you are making my point. The fact that Newsom and Whitmer are polling at the same level as Biden without even campaigning should tell you that they are better candidates than Biden. The fact that Biden is polling at the same level as a rapist should tell you what a catastrophic candidate Biden is.
