I saw my cardiologist earlier in the week because of occasional dizziness. He wants me to wear this for two weeks.
Many of you who are older have probably worn a holter monitor at some point. This is the modern equivalent.
@WordsmithFL technology. At least they’ve done away with all the leads and wires. Good Luck!
@imafoal The symptoms have pretty much disappeared. I think it was dehydration. But it doesn't hurt to collect data.
@WordsmithFL How long is your study?
@imafoal The doctor said two weeks! The instructions say it will notify me when it's time to return it.
I'm looking forward to wearing it in the morning while cycling, and wearing it in the lap pool. Supposedly it's waterproof to a depth of three feet. That wasn't possible with a holter monitor.
Whwn my son was 12 he had to wear one, but the monitoring device itself was as big as a lunchbox. Times have changed! Hope they're able to figure out what's going on.
@Bliss Yep, I had to wear the "big box" several times over the years. This new tech is a definite improvement, at least until we can get one of these.
@WordsmithFL wouldnt those be great!
Just activated the system. Interesting that it comes with its own smartphone to record the data. The phone appears to be older, perhaps used; it only has 4G.
