@CarmenSlamdiego That's why I was thinking Hillary. She's certainly a "name" and the Clintons have as much political power as anyone in the Democratic Party. Any "but her emails" accusations won't get any traction, because everyone has heard them.
As I wrote, it's not gonna happen, and Kamala deserves it unless she doesn't want it. Hillary would kick Trump's ample derriere. Bonus: she's two years younger than #Trump. ๐
@WordsmithFL ha. She definitely is the power House we need in this situation. The problem is that she also has a stigma left over from emails / Benghazi days because the smear campaign was very effective. Where are all the smart women in #politics?
@CarmenSlamdiego I think everyone has heard the email/Benghazi nonsense and decided it pales in comparison to what #Trump did. I wonder if she'd be interested. But I'm sure she's 100% behind #Biden/Harris.
@WordsmithFL 1.) Such speculation is not useful at this point in the campaign--it's actually harmful, in my opinion, because it undermines what was a misstep. Not the first time it's happened, won't be the last, despite the NYT shrilling.
2.) The definite impression I've gotten from Hillary Clinton is that she is DONE and I don't blame her one whit.
@WordsmithFL I think the problem is that Harris doesn't get enough air time to be compelling. Indeed, not many compelling people out there in general. I think the biggest power team would be Gretchen Whitmer and Gavin Newsom (I do like Harris/Newsom but 12th amendment) , and yet even there you lack name recognition. I've wondered if Biden/Newsom could swing some voters but I don't want to lose Harris.
