@WordsmithFL shouldn't Mike Johnson being doing the job he's paid extremely well to do, rather than sitting in a court room as "moral support" (read as kissing arde) for a known criminal?
@redenigma The House doesn't convene until noon. I bet he shows up in New York to be seen, then hops a taxpayer-funded jet back to DC in time for this afternoon if he's needed. No one is going to spend all day in that "icebox," as the defendant calls it.
#Politics Apparently House Speaker Mike Johnson and other #Trump sycophants showed up outside the NYC courtroom this morning to read their statements, then left.
Trump seems to think this is a way to circumvent the gag order. Let's see how long Judge Merchan allows the charade to continue.
