@Patti1120 It works when it works. Most of the time, it doesn't work. With my wife, on our first lunch date we kept completing each other's sentences, picked the same item from a seven-page menu, kept quoting from the same movies.
The problem is having the patience to wade through all the failing candidates.
@Patti1120 I didn't get married until age 47. I'd given up as well.
Honest, it's okay to check out for a while. If and when it's meant to happen, it'll happen. Don't let your biological clock talk you into a mistake. I saw that happen with a lot of friends, female and male. I waited rather than cave to social convention.
I'd come over just to play with the cats. 😉 We always had 4-6 cats in the house when I was growing up. I can get cats to be friendly when no one else can.
@Patti1120 I'm an introvert. To this day, it's very hard for me to be married. We just passed our 20th anniversary. There are still times when I want to skedaddle. She takes occasional vacations with her high school friends, which helps keep me sane.
All I can offer is, if it's meant to be, it'll happen. The solitude has its blessings.
@WordsmithFL thank you I do appreciate your words and advice. I know it just sucks at times. I’m a social butterfly and I feel like im just being wasted away. But I will venture on. Won’t let it break me but I’ll take a quick break ✌️
@WordsmithFL I’m 52 that’s long gone
