From on House Republicans eating their own ...

Way back in my California days, I was working on a local non-partisan issue. We had some radical Republicans who were part of the nascent Tea Party movement. All they talked about was burning down their own party so only the ideologically pure would survive, in their view.

Today's MAGA movement is Tea Party run amok. The GOP will be ashes when this year is over.

@WordsmithFL I’m not convinced the fascists will ever recede.

@GrazingintheGrass The RNC has committed itself to pouring all its financial resources into , which we know he will use to pay his legal bills. Very little money will go to down-ticket races. That's where this is really going to hurt that party.

With no financial resources, a criminal loser candidate, and unpopular policies, the GOP will suffer a bloodbath in November. What arises from that? Who knows. No sane people are left to pick up the pieces; they're all Trumpers.

@WordsmithFL Gaetz is maybe building up Trump loyalists and replacing people who might not support a Trump dictatorship?

I think those Republicans are naive if they do not understand that this is a group doing a takeover, replacing as many as possible with their own people. They're not out to be Republican or American. They're out to take over.
