If we all belong to the #CoSoverse... π€
What's your quirky superpower?
What "accessories" would go with your action figure?
What league do you belong to here?
And who or what's your greatest nemesis?
π Did he have a catchphrase?
@MLClark Poking around the Internet ...
"Love with your heart, use your head for everything else"
Also ...
Boyfriend: It's the man who flies like an eagle!
Woman: It's the man with muscles of lead!
Artist: It's the masked enemy of all evil!
Boy: Are you kidding? It's some nut in his underwear.
Father: That's no ordinary nut, son. That's Captain Nice!
@MLClark The opening and closing credits ... William Daniels goes on to win Emmys in 1985 and 1986 for "St. Elsewhere."
@MLClark I remember the Super Dave commecials, didn't know there was a show.
Oh yeah! I watched that variety show devotedly as a kid - every episode featuring some strange spoof entertainment acts, around which Super Dave was always getting into extreme stunt accidents and then cheerfully/horrifically groaning about them after. π And I turned out PERFECTLY FINE.
@MLClark "And I turned out PERFECTLY FINE."
I learned my life philosophy from Bugs Bunny. So there's that.
@MLClark I was friends with Chuck Jones' granddaughter. Her house was full of memorabilia. When she gave birth, Chuck drew a pencil sketch of Bugs holding the baby. It was his way of saying, "This is to pay for her college."
There used to be a Chuck Jones store in Newport Beach with artwork like what you posted, but it closed long ago.
I have a Tiny Toons cel on the wall. And a Marvin Martian. π
With NASA never far from view as well! π
π€― HOW DID YOU KEEP THAT TRIBBLE FROM TRIBBLING?
What a lovely set of reminders of some of the nicest things we humans get up to, when we aren't too busy making life harder for each other instead. :) That's a beautiful little happy place you've set up for yourself, Stephen!
@MLClark "HOW DID YOU KEEP THAT TRIBBLE FROM TRIBBLING?"
I removed its battery. π It does trill, when it has its battery.
@MLClark The Chuck Jones Gallery has closed, but there's now a Chuck Jones Center for Creativity in nearby Costa Mesa. If you can get past a paywall ...
Craig Kausen was the husband of my friend. I helped run her Costa Mesa City Council race. (She lost ...)
@WordsmithFL
Oh, those are very sweet additions to the home. :)
