A crummy photo because it was taken through a screen ... This is a wood stork. At one time, they were considered endangered. Now, they're a threatened species. Wood storks typically migrate through the north Merritt Island area this time of year. Most of the time, they stay up near Kennedy Space Center because it's also a wildlife refuge, but this one stopped in our back yard to rest at the fake lake.
