Consider the source ... says House GOP will move to expel Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) if the House Ethics Committee investigation finds him guilty.

The article says you need a 2/3 vote to expel.

Maybe that's why McCarthy defied Gaetz. He thinks the ethics committee has the goods.

2/3 vote to expel works out to 290 votes, if everyone shows up to vote.

If the clean resolution vote yesterday is any indication, they could very well have that number.

The question remains, do enough House Republicans have the spine to defy Trump, who will stand with Gaetz?
