@pendrag Spoiler ... Eventually Ian made its way across the state towards us. The eye went right over north Merritt Island. it split the uprights at KSC between Pads 39A and 39B.

I went outside at the time to see how calm it was, before the winds reversed. Pretty cool.

That is one of those cool to see, but do not know if I want to be there sort of items. To step out in the eye of a hurricane to see the clear sky overhead and the storm wall surrounding the area.

@pendrag Well, it was pretty disorganized by the time it got here. There was no clear sky. But I did see the winds on the fake lake in the backyard go one way, stop, then go the other way. I don't think our winds ever got above 40 MPH or so.

Believe me, if the Big One is coming, I'm the first one to hit the road.
