Meanwhile, please enjoy the disheartening reminder, in Murray Bookchin's "Ecology and Revolutionary Thought" (1964), that we've been fighting the destruction of better ecologies for DECADES with full awareness of the problem's scale. Just not the capacity for change. :/

When I lectured at KSCVC, for some reason thought I was a climate change expert because I wore a badge with a NASA logo on it. I would tell them that what's happening now is consistent with what the models have been saying for many decades.
I think that, because it happens too slowly for human comprehension, many people dismiss it. But now they're starting to see the consequences.
