@MLClark Good morning ... Yes, any and all of one's senses provide ideas for stories, characters, locales, etc.
I very much admire the courage it took you to go live in Colombia. The best writers are creatures of the planet.
(Alas, the planet sometimes drives them nuts, but I digress ...)
I went for a sunrise cycle, but it's very hot and humid here. I was dehydrated when I returned home, but okay now.
@MLClark Just watched the TNG S7 episode, "Genesis," in which the crew devolves.
If they all devolved to a primitive state, how were their memories intact afterwards? They said Riker's brain had shrunken, so clearly he should have lost memories.
It reminds me of the TOS episode where NOMAD wipes Uhura's memories. Yet everything is back by the next episode. Um, okay. 🙄
@WordsmithFL
Simple, and yet there's so much culture and ideology infused in our daily norms, no? I imagine the writer in you recognizes the creative potential: whole worlds can be conveyed through how we eat, dress, move, and speak. Every distinct detail, carefully chosen to aid in the development of a character or scene, helps bring out the universal in the stories we tell about ourselves.
(Morning, Stephen! Hope you're well.)
