From the Arizona Republic (Phoenix newspaper):

"When results were updated Friday evening, adding another about 74,000 ballots from Maricopa County, Hobbs widened her advantage, though the race was still razor-thin with only 31,000 votes separating the candidates and no winner declaring victory."

It looks like that first batch of Maricopa County election day ballot dropoff count didn't break the way the Republicans hoped.

@WordsmithFL Once I saw the tally of the ballots still left to be processed I was pretty sure Republicans were going to be disappointed. The vast majority of them are in Pima and Maricopa counties - both very liberal. Of the 370k or so left right now, about 340k are from those 2 counties so I imagine those dem leads will get wider.
