I absolutely do not want anybody, not even TFG, to suffer bodily harm for political reasons.
But as a practical matter, the amount of shock, dismay, and sympathy that you can generate from each assassination attempt diminishes with each iteration. Especially since these attempts are the semi-predictable result of NRA-pressured state legislatures repealing sensible gun laws and of blowback from a decade's worth of stochastic terrorism.
