Invest #90L between Africa & Caribbean. Models have been slowly coming together on the idea it turns up just before the Caribbean next week. Still too early to know for sure though, so keep an eye on it. 22Sept2023
Post-Tropical Cyclone #Nigel North of The Azores lost tropical characteristics, NHC no longer issuing advisories. Wind shear pushed storms well ahead of the system which may increase rain chances this weekend Ireland,UK,Iceland region. Core merges with another Low at sea. 22Sep2023
The area off the Southeast US coast has been designated as #PTC16 - Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen. This allows the NHC to issue cone map, Tropical Storm & Storm Surge Watch/Warnings even though a system hasn’t formed yet for advanced lead time and communication purposes. Advisories will begin at 11aEDT 21Sept2023
Hurricane #Nigel finally has more of a classic hurricane look to it Tuesday morning, albeit with an incredibly distinct large eye. NHC forecasting system to turn out to sea before Bermuda (currently about 650miles (1,040km) ESE of Bermuda). 19Sept2023
