Things I have realized this past year of the downsizing battle part 1.
* Nobody wants your stuff. Stop thinking what you have is an investment. Trust me, you can’t sell it for a great amount.
* George Carlin called it stuff. It is. Emotional attachment to inanimate things holds you back.
* Do you really want your relatives to have to deal with all this when you die? They will be mourning, give them a break.
* Don’t get offended if people don’t want your stuff, let go of your ego.

@Lynwill070712. When my paternal grandmother died she was living in a house her father had built 70 years before. We had great fun exploring the attic and its multiple steamer trunks, but I suspect my father and uncle considered it a major pain in the ass.
