#Georgia fell victim to a similar tactic by #Russia in the early 90’s: under the pretense of “protecting Russian-speakers from Georgian Nazis” Russia stole a chunk of Georgian land and created a quasi-state named Osetia.
#Armenia and #Azerbaijan have both lost lands because of similar plots by Russia.
That is why I have nothing but contempt and disgust towards Western useful idiots who are happily pedaling Russia’s “anti-nazi rhetoric”. STFU, dumbasses, you don’t know ANYTHING.
Note: the Transnistria region of #Moldova is a thin strip of land along the left bank of the river Niester. In 1992, soon after the dissolution of USSR, #Russia invaded this area under the pretense of “protecting Russian speakers from Moldavian Nazis”, much like they did the Ukrainian Donbas years later. A quasi-state was created.
Those troops are still stationed there, sitting on a huge stockpile of weapons and ammo. Moldova has been calling for them to leave for over 25 years to no effect.

Or the name of that huge yellow eagle from The Rescuers Down Under 😆
Feb 23rd, 2023: Putin’s fascist #Russia accuses #Ukraine of plans to attack #Moldova in the so-called Transnistria province (which is in fact under Russia’s control, who call it an “independent republic”), much like they accused Ukraine of plans to attack Russia last year.
The Government of Moldova immediately rebuked the statement from Russia, and called the public to calm and to not fall for information sources with low or zero credibility.

They were familiar situations from past experience
Oh yay. Black holes gone wild.
Astronomers have spotted a runaway supermassive black hole, seemingly ejected from its home galaxy and racing through space with a chain of stars trailing in its wake.

He couldn’t care less, tbh
It’s something ruskie commies jerk off too, so he keeps repeating it to make them happy.
His one and only goal is to stay in power forever and be completely immune against any kind of accountability.
He’s on an ultimate power trip. Complete with the mind warp, batshit crazy, incorrigible, irreversible.
He’ll say anything his vatnik subjects like to hear, just to stay King.
@GeorgeG
Yes, exactly, it was too quick for either pictures or words.
Like, in a flash I’d completed a thought experiment and I knew what to do.
Then I stopped and remembered about the minds working in pictures, and realised that it must be wrong.
They are holding another rally with song and dance and circus numbers in Moscow, Putin went on stage too with another standup performance — all part of renewed efforts to make the war popular, but it’s drawing an unexpectedly harsh backlash from Russians in their social media.
“They are sending our sons out there to die so they can sing and dance and make merry and do cartwheels?” — is the common sentiment. A drastic change in public perception, I would say
I heard that our minds work with images, not words.
But that can’t be true either.
Just now I went through a complex logical thought process to decide on an action with consideration of at least two possible outcomes, and I swear it took a fraction of a second, and involved neither words, nor images.
Somehow I was able to calculate two separate algorithms and make forecasts for two separate outcomes and make a choice with neither words nor pictures.
It was something else entirely.
A millisecond.
I was born in the USSR and grew up in an ex-soviet "republic". Want an honest opinion on communism from someone who's experienced it firsthand? Ask me.
