@allin Keep in mind that you are not alone and what you are going through is not unique. I hear you and understand what you are going through. You are not a failure, you are not a bad parent, you are not responsible for the actions of your adult child. You can beat yourself senseless for what is occurring but it will achieve nothing. Voting for the TFG is the least of many wrongs that your child could do. Thank her that she is not stealing, maiming, or physically hurting themselves or anyone.

I've told my kids the following: my job as a father is to ensure that you have established yourself financially and with a health insurance.This means that they have an education and direction so that they are self sufficient. Drugs, are at times, much more enticing than family and responsibilities. Lies, manipulation, isolation, depression, insecurity, amongst other feelings, can be overwhelming. You are not alone.

@allin I noticed your post and read through the subsequent replies. Here is the following:
1. Always good to get some weight off your shoulders and release that tension. Sharing it, can at times, bring comfort.
2. Wisdom that comes from those that share similar circumstances can alleviate and lessen the grief.
3. It is always hard for a parent to see their kids as independent adults. There will come a place and time that we have to realize that you've done all that you can do. 1/X

FEMA and disaster respondents are primarily employees of the State or Federal agencies or at times volunteers and not anywhere close to a political position to try to get attention to their political plight. Public dissatisfaction with government will increase dramatically with #climatechange and be ready for more of this...
