Imagine if is elected to a second term: NOAA eliminated and with it the ability to forecast weather.

@Victor i cannot imagine having to live without that information especially during an emergency.

@peeppeepcircus From what I understood with regards to disbanding NOAA is to make the information that NOAA currently provides freely is then taken over by for-profit data providers to be sold at a profit. What most people don't realize is that the US government is not in the business of being a business. Yes, taxes pay for these services for the good of all.

@Victor 95% of Americans are under the mistaken impression that private weather companies do something other than just repackage NOAA information.

Worse, lobbyists from those companies prevented development of a free app from the government so they can continue to sell advertising for their apps and channels.

Watch The G Word on Netflix. Learn about the good, and bad, of the government. People are oblivious to the ways government serves everyone.

@Victor Yep

They have all the information I use to fill out taxes. They calculate it too. I have gotten a letter saying they show I owe X, and to sent it if I agree. (I already sent it in a revised 1040X.)

Our numbers agreed, but why not just send me the bill in the first place?
