Since 1492, Italians can't seem to tell the difference between indigenous Americans and Indians.

@Victor i was so shocked when i went to italy and found out how openly racist they were (particularly in rome). i'd grown up w/ italian peeps & my friends's families were always kind to me. i wasn't expecting for italy to be that way. and that was about 20 yrs ago before the boatloads of immigrants from syria. i know the eu can be pretty xenophobic. but germany was lovely. amsterdam was lovely. but italy was horrid to me.

@singlemaltgirl Given the history of Roman conquests and intermingling of various Mediterranean cultures I doubt that Italian blood is pure. They are more like Heinz 57. I can see the rich trying to separate themselves from the masses...

@Victor i don't think that matters. i've heard it's become more racist w/ the boatloads of refugees from the mid east.
