@MerakiLife Trying to grow sages native to my area as both front and back yards are xeriscaped. I do have some on large pots and this requires more water monitoring during summer when temperatures can be above 100°F.
@MerakiLife Eastern side of house has a California Black Walnut tree as well as a Chinese Tallow tree (came out unexpectedly) that provide some shade in the morning. Front yard has a huge Mulberry tree. South side I've got a large Silver Dollar Eucalyptus tree. North side there's a Palo Verde along with a Mulberry. Plenty of shade.
@Victor
I envy your trees! I moved to high mountain desert from federally designated Wild & Scenic riverfront wooded acres/cottage. (Just call me crazy and get it over with. LOL Retired to be near my adult kiddo.)
New place had one large Ash tree and a "golf course ringing the house w/crappy grass". I've added about 40 trees and bushes but lost plenty last July when a housesitter failed to turn on water, etc..
I'd luv to see a pic of the large Silver Dollar Ecualyptus, but then I'd just want it!
I use the leaves to eco-dye fabric. They imprint beautiful orange colors! (And they don't grow here 😢 )
@MerakiLife Just realized that I don't have a photo of Silver Dollar. Guess I'll be taking one.
Cool. I hope you tag me.
@Victor
I love how the big pots look. I've got lots of triple digit days too. I am doing my best to get shade distributed around the house and gardens!
