My nibling came out to me as trans today! It was accidental, because I saw his preferred pronouns in the vol database for an event he's helping with this weekend. So I reached out to him to ask if his badge name was how he wanted me to introduce him at the event (and also to clarify how he wanted me to handle family - ie, use fem pronouns & birth name, which is what he wants for now). He said he's been wanting to come out to me for a couple years, but didn't know when.

Super happy that he trusts me with this. It may be hard for him to come out to his mom(my sister). But I'll always support him however I can. It's important to me to be a safe and stable harbor for him, if he needs it.

@VenessaG So glad he has someone like you! You're awesome!
