I'm struggling a bit, but will be okay in the end. Still dealing with the house issue after a tornado dropped 3 trees on it in Jan. Still dislocated. Everything is going SO SLOWLY. And costing so much money. Ugh.
I am so sorry. Two different hurricanes dropped trees on our house but both times we were able to stay. It wasn't fun. It wasn't safe. It took forever to get back to a new normal, but we did. Best advice we had from an insurance adjuster was to ask for a manager if/when a problem occurred.
@ellesu This happened in 2020 too, but just a simple storm, not a tornado. We were dislocated for 6 months and ended up $40k in debt (bec of mold). This time, we've been dislocated 6 months already and looks like we won't be back in til October. And that's only the inside work. Still a lot of outside work. (Total of 8 trees down on the inhabited areas of the property, so tons of damage.)

FEMA kept pushing Small Business Loan site. I never understood what it was and we didn't need it, but it might be something to look into.
