@Madken65 Coral is home to many ocean species. Most people don't realize it is a living entity. It provides a symbiotic healthy environment.

P.S. Lets hope a hurricane doesn't form in the Atlantic. That hot ocean temp could create a monster.

These Jacuzzi-like temperatures pose a major danger to the coral in the area, which is likely to bleach (meaning turn white from starvation)β€”especially since it’s only July and corals usually suffer most from the heat in August and September.

Morning Peeps,

Some weather news from Morning Brew

It’s getting hotter in the water. Ocean temperatures off the coast of Florida have climbed to unprecedented highs of nearly 97 degrees Fahrenheit when readings in the 80s would be more typical. The temps are so high that they’re off the color scale of some weather maps, according to the Washington Post.

The meteorologist said there's a flood advisory in our area and that we should seek higher ground. In his next sentence, he warned of possible tornados, for which he advised we should take shelter in a basement or lowest level of our home.

My heightened anxiety doesn't know what to do with this information. 😳

@AskTheDevil One being is too many.

Soon only wealthy will be able to afford to live in the temperate zones. Everyone else will be in a battle to survive the heat in tropical bands and rising seas in coastal areas.

We are losing fresh water sources too.

@AskTheDevil We may have already passed the point of no return for our species to survive. 60,000 Europeans died from heat this year.

Scientist believe large animals like cattle and buffalo likely deer too will die off in the southwest and mid south due to extreme heat.
