I think our oath to support and defend the constitution is still in effect, little matter that we are no longer on active duty. Our oath is solemn, not to be taken lightly, and is binding until our last breath.

That is how I am interpreting it in my own case.

Hey a heads up,

For all you folks that are thinking about going out into the rural country, to escape the cities, and "prep" for some believed coming disaster.

Just Don't

There are people that live there. We are mostly friendly to visitors, but DO NOT suffer fools. Do not cross fences. Open gates. Or walk and camp on land that is not yours. Ask nicely, be prepared to receive a NO.

Remember that State parks and National forests, and wilderness areas. Will never be your homestead.
