@VaGyver I'd add that if you can't accept that your child may not fit your fantasy of a child that you hold in your head, maybe you really shouldn't have children.
Making a new human is a gamble...you don't always get the desired prize when you gamble and whatever you win in the genetic shuffle, you don't get to take it back to the shops and exchange it. No child deserves to be unloved.
