Okay, so now FBI has Confirmed Thomas Matthew Crooks was the shooter according to Phil Williams, reporter for News Channel 5 in Nashville, Tenn.
@Usama_Backhair Alright - the shooter turning out to be a Republican means this'll probably turn into a real fun political shitshow.
It would've been bad if it turned out to be a Democrat; they would've milked that HARD for political points.
It's much harder to milk an assassination attempt for political points if the perp is a member of the same party. Sectarianism doesn't pull votes.
It seems VERY likely this will be a nucleation site for significant infighting within the Republican party.

They're already just lying and saying it's not really Crooks, Roger Stone has already started as we speak, so we'll see
@Usama_Backhair I have a feeling adding on a bunch of lies may just make the situation worse for them.
'Cause you'll get the ones who believe the lies arguing with the ones who don't believe them, and then each camp will spawn innumerable sub-arguments about the exact minutiae... oh yeah it might be a good idea to make some popcorn.
