@GlytchMeister it really is different when shooting live rounds. I will say that about half the mags had only a couple rounds in them. I’m sure he did that on purpose to work on the drill.
Your question does make me wonder how many of these drills he does at home in his living room with empty mags or SnapCaps (plastic fake rounds). The visual is hilarious!

Took one of my sons to the range tonight. Caught this lucky frame. As with many things in my life, my kids are generally better than me at everything. This sport is no exception. I’m fine with that.
As a side note: there was a dude in the next lane with a totally decked out AR platform practicing mag drops. He went through a couple hundred 223/556 rounds in about 8 minutes. It was both amusing and concerning all at the same time. And loud.

Random thought before heading to bed: I still spend time on the bird site and get endless joy from seeing posts about people finally figuring out that place is toxic and deciding to try CoSo. It’s a little like when when the tour group in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory finally step into the wonderland of sweets.
So…. Welcome to the newbies. Don’t be afraid. Feel free to look around. If not your cup of tea then that’s ok. But try the tulips. They’re delicious.

@Render true story: not long after my parents were married they went to a friend’s house for dinner. That couple served a single can of baked Spam as the main course for 4 adults.

The current days are still great but I really got a kick out of the earlier days of CoSo where we were so proud of our member #. Not sure I can all myself OG but it’s close. ❤️

Several years ago I read this book: Writing on the right side of the brain. It is really worth the time. The biggest take away was the concept of self filtering. We all do it. Well… once we aren’t a kid any more. The phrase, “out of a child’s mouth” is a real thing. Good writers have learned to remove their filter and write whatever comes into their head. It’s hard. I’ve tried. And I will try again because it it is unbelievably liberating.
