@killagator Not trying to be an agitator, and never for a second think I have even one positive thing to say about Boebert, but I think you've missed her poorly articulated point.

I have a couple staunch conservatives in my circle. They would tell me her point is not that gov't help is never necessary. Rather, it's about her not wanting a system that encourages participants to stay on the gov't teat forever. That's the point to argue with her about.

And her cheese comment is just dumb. 😎

I couldn't agree more with that sentiment. A buddy I graduated HS with explained to me several years afterwards how there were generational welfare families where the sole purpose of the women were to have as many kids as possible just to create income and food stamps. He said this after telling me he had 3 kids with 3 different woman and none of them wanted or got child support from him because that would decrease the amount of money and rent support they received from the system
