My lovely bride started binging The Great British Baking Show. 🍰 That means by proximity I too am watching it. I've learned these things so far:
- Paul is big wanker.
- Mary Berry is much nicer but wields the grandma look that means trouble.
- Although I like to bake, I will never have the knowledge or skill of even the worst of these participants.
@Urbankidx4 pictures of lily - the who
@XSGeek Somewhere in the middle of season 4.
I've got Paul tucked away in the Simon Cowell box. Someone I will love to hate. It's all good.
When you are done with that, you should move on to The Great Pottery Bakin.. er Showdown.
@Urbankidx4
I have to say you've nailed it!
Paul really fancies himself.
Mary is a legend who literally taught an entire generation of Brits how to cook. She's also got a wicked sense of humour.
What do you think of Mel and Sue?
@stueytheround I love Mel and Sue. And that reminds me of another thing I've learned... The innuendo in the show is fabulous!
The most recent that come to mind:
"Would you like some carpet?" "Yes, I'd eat some carpet."
"Would you grab my jugs for me?" "Oh definitely!"
Mel and Sue are almost always the instigators. Love it.
@Urbankidx4 ftr Sue is gay. 🤣
@stueytheround MV2 turned out to be Ruby. So that situation disappointed the teenagers for the same reason. 😂
@stueytheround @Urbankidx4 Iv recently finished Spectacles which is Sues memoir, it had me giggling alot especially the chapters about Cambridge University and their first Edinburgh Fringe season.
Also...
My teenage sons pick a young-ish participant to pay special "attention" to. Started with Martha in season 1. Then came MV2 (Martha version 2), MV3, etc. One boy heartbroken to learn Martha's season was 10 years ago and that she's married now.
