Had reason today to be in my childhood neighborhood. Took this pic of the grade school I attended 1/2 block from my house. It seemed old even back then. Has since been converted to apartments.

It is nostalgic to revisit places from childhood to recall memories. This is my grade school, once a high school built in 1908. It only has four rooms. It is currently on the register for historical places and being preserved through grants and donations.

Unfortunately, my junior high and high school have been torn down for modern and heavy tax burdened monstrosities. I understand the need for updated facilities and don't begrudge the change altogether. But, I also believe preservation of history is important for future generations.
