@etakeh hereā€™s something to consider. In Oregon the patient has all the rights. The state canā€™t hold anyone more than 5 days then they are released. It takes a court order to extend the stay. Now factor in they let the mentally ill make all their own medical decisions. Ripe for hospitals to pad their bills. Again I have first hand experience. The Oregonian ran a investigative article on this very topic a few months ago.
