An excess of billionaires is destabilising politics – just as academics predicted.
The concept of “elite overproduction” was developed by social scientist Peter Turchin around the turn of this century to describe something specific: too many rich people for not enough rich-person jobs. It’s a byproduct of inequality: a ton of poor people, sure, but also a superfluity of the wealthy, without enough [influential] positions ... to which they think themselves entitled.

I'm not childless, I have one adult son but I am single. Talk like this scares me. Trump just said he's going to take care of women no matter what. How? By throwing us back into the 19th Century where widows and women abandoned by their husbands had 0 rights or social supports?!?
PS....I'm a snoop. The line to scan your completed ballot was about 30 people deep. So I CASUALLY glanced at people's choice for president. Kamala 5 vs Trump 3. I hope my statistical sample holds. 😂
Well, my wife and I voted early. Public library, the line was 300 yards long, out the door and around the building. That being said, the election workers were on the ball. We were done and dusted in 35 minutes.

I need to get this off my chest. I Despise the very concept behind "Real ID". It's utterly fascist. It was the Republicans using our post 9/11 fear to push us toward a Fourth Reich, under THEIR control.
