@MidnightRider Welcome to the club. We have t-shirts.
@MidnightRider Same, same.
@MidnightRider I've talked about this before. An article I read, decades back, on the post-Civil War Era, that discussed how families divided by the politics that led to the war recovered from the breech. The simple fact is that the vast majority never did. And the few that DID manage to reconcile did so by lying to themselves and each other. They pretended that the years 1860 to 1865 didn't exist as history. I think that's where we're headed. Permanent separation...or comforting lies.
@TwiHusband Ha! I can promise you yankee hate is totally still a real phenomenon. When I moved south in 1986. It was much worse than now. Everyone in the south acted like people in the northeast were driving around with plate rings that read, “ the north, we kicked the south’s ass “.
@MidnightRider Hate'em back. Works for me. I live in Kentucky, and most of the people in this states are too stupid to live, let alone be allowed to vote.
I've lost count of the number of customers I've had that brag about how many Democrats they're gonna kill when they get the chance.
@TwiHusband Actually I really want to move back north, I’m tired of living in Six Flags over Jesus, even if it is cheap. I need to wait to see how this plays out because New York is still in the United States, so increasing my financial burn rate till death for nothing would be a huge mistake.
@TwiHusband It probably hurts us more, but in the short term, it’s how I am going to play. Also, there is no family exclusion clause.
