The irony of the last few decades would be amusing, if it weren't so horrifying. Watching the ongoing stupidification of the American population reminds me of a short story I once read some 40 years ago.
Basically the world was going to hell in hand-basket. Antibiotics, vaccines, basically all science, medical and otherwise, was banned as "unnatural".
The irony? In the story, the Left were the luddites. Our reality is the the Right are the luddites.
@TwiHusband As I recall, the Luddites weren't actually against technology, they were against their jobs being replaced by machines and machine-assisted workforces (where employers could hire fewer people and pay them less) and being forced to work with dangerous machines at high rates of speed, such that people got mangled.
