@TwiHusband FYI - that rumor that he’s buying ABC has been around since February. It doesn’t make it any less true, which leads me to this:

We live in a post-factual democracy.

As long as the argument says “This person or this group is “the bad guy”, you can say whatever you want, facts be damned.”

That’s what’s wrong with them.

They’d rather punish “the bad guy” than tolerate the facts.

@mikeharmanos Hadn't heard that one yet. It seems rather unrealistic, as I think Musk has topped out on his personal financial ballistic trajectory. I expect a RUD at any moment.

As for good guy/bad guy, polarization being what it is, I'm not surprised. All we're left with is to look the "sides" over, and pick the one we can stomach.

As I said to my wife this morning, "I read it on the internet, so it must be true" has bee a fact of digital life since MySpace.
