What's everyone's favorite #Linux distro? #CoSoLinux
It's great to see at least a few of us Linux users on here. #CoSoLinux π§
@Tuxramus Ubuntu, but it's the only one I have any experience with, so π€·ββοΈ
Been meaning to try Mint. I tried Redhat years ago because Linux sounded great in principle, but it was WAY harder than I could handle, and the best I could do was follow a step-by-step to set up a firewall.
Did Ubuntu after that and quickly scrapped all Windows in my house and went pure Ubuntu on everything (gf kept her lappy Win, bc her workplace required it).
Spent 13 years w/o a personal computer.
Back now, & I like the latest Ubuntu's still, but I do need to shop around.
@FernLovebond I love the choices we have, a distro for everyone's taste. π§
@Tuxramus I distrohop a lot, but lately I've been sticking to mostly arch-based distros. On Endeavour now. Archcraft might be my actual favorite and the one I got back to most.
@opie FreeBSD is awesome too! I have a guy chatting in my stream on Twitch regularly who talks about it, he loves it. I haven't tried it for a few years myself. I think a new VM is called for. π
switched all my servers from linux to freebsd back when systemd took over all the distros (so it's been awhile) and it was a very good decision on my part
all my laptops and one server run da 'bu...and they all currently run diff versions (cuz I'm lazy and bad at this π)
da 'bu (i'm boring)
I use several myself. My main is Manjaro KDE but I also use Fedora, Mint Cinnamon, and Ubuntu Mate on different machines and VMs. On my Pi retro games console, I use Recalbox. π§
