MAGA enthusiasts seem sick to me. They are immune to reason, to conciliation; they lack empathy and any obvious inclination for community, as if there is a failure of their basic humanity.
Speaking of it as like spreading cancer, metaphorically, seems too on the nose. Maybe that is literally what it is: an infection.
I was watching a video about rabies, about how it causes unreasoning rage in its victims and it hit me: is it possible the whole MAGA phenomenon is caused by an undiscovered pathogen? Virus, bacteria, fungus? I wonder if anybody has looked into that.
For b'fast I had a home-baked mini -waffle covered with p'nut butter/honey, and sliced ripe banana - with coffee. I brew my own coffee, and drink it with milk, no sugar.
