Here in Worcester, MA, in addition to the 4 statewide questions we have The Community Preservation Act to help ensure more affordable housing. Nay-sayers whine about a "new tax", but $50/ year for my neighbors to have decent places to live seems a real bargain to me.
That's amazing. I wish Chicago could consider a program like that. The voucher program has an, alleged, 5 year wait. Truth is it's 20 years!
