That was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen! We live near a park where people gathered to watch, and we heard a cheer ring out when the corona appeared. It was stunning, absolutely stunning. The birds went crazy. A few minutes after totality ended, two huge hawks flew over the yard.
We had total silence from all critters airborne or land .... creepy. After the totality passed? Slowly the nature sounds returned.
@TomeReader really? I only remember one in my lifetime and it was eerily silent. I was walking hime from school.
