@redenigma oomph
@redenigma I might have to wait before making that trip. I googled it and they said it's moderately challenge. Now I got a physique chisled from stone (in my imagination) but I think I gotta get some smaller hikes in. Chittenango falls is considered intermediate and I'm like I've done some hiking. Won't be an issue. Going to the base wasn't bad but coming up I was out of breath, full of sweat and racing heart. Carrying a camera bag and tripod didn't help either I'm sure 🤣🤣🤣
@redenigma you just gave me a new destination. It's a 90 minute drive for me
@redenigma where's that
@redenigma I took back roads up (I'm notoriously cheap and only take thruway when I have to) and the whole drive was amazing
@redenigma it's funny. It's literally 40 min drive from where I am and it took me 44 years to visit
@redenigma this is up in chittenango falls. Near Syracuse,NY
@redenigma I'll get editing down at some point lol. I've never had someone to work with me on that aspect. I'm literally self taught . And ofcourse I developed a style of over editing lol. Before I took the easy way out. Just HDR it. Now I'm trying to actually learn. I'm noticing it's easier for me to learn Lightroom rather than Photoshop.
@chevalier26 agreed and I'm editing on a tablet right now so I'm sure it's not as sharp looking as if I were doing it on my Mac
@redenigma ahh ok. I'll loosen it up then. Thanks 🙂
@chevalier26 I just want a cool print for my wall. I rarely print my work out because I'm constantly tweaking and never happy. But something about the shot is screaming it needs to be printed.
@redenigma what do you mean too hard?
@chevalier26 I'm just patiently waiting on that one lens. I shoot Canon and last November they released a 200-800mm lens and it's compatible with a 2x extender (supposedly) I'll be doing a bit of that when I get that in my hands 😁.
@chevalier26 I've thought about that actually. But I have no experience in that realm. Most of my exp has come from personalized shoots (portrait), landscapes I shoot out of boredom, not a huge fan but it keeps me creative. Like the waterfalls i did today. Nothing spectacular but got to try some new techniques.. street you gotta hope and pray . I like to stay in one spot and set up the camera and if something interest happens in front of it then becomes a win.
@chevalier26 and if you can't get no support (this is where friends come in handy) your screwed. Most of my "friends" have kids and I'm like lemme do some shots. Well they also know the big name in the area and they pretty much pledged their loyalty to them. It is what it is though . I'm not upset but it is frustrating
@chevalier26 I did weddings for a brief spin (2010-2015) but I didn't enjoy it & got out of it. I made a promise to myself, it started out as a hobby I was passionate about. Making $ was a bonus. But the minute I didn't enjoy what I was doing I'd back out because I wanted to keep the reasons I started "pure". As far as graduations go, I've attempted the HS Sr photo route. The biggest barrier that got is basically there's 1 person who has it on lockdown in this area. everyone else gets scraps
@MidnightRider tomorrow I'm doing a food truck event (for me not for any truck). Hoping turn our will be good. Maybe if I get some of these local businesses (free advertising) maybe I can get some customers to give me a follow. At least nobody can say I'm not trying!
Bills fan. Love horror flicks, motorcycles, heavy metal/80s hard rock and photography
