@Timmah1979 have you been to Letchworth State Park? they have some nice falls
@redenigma not yet. It's on the agenda though.
@Timmah1979 this one is fun too: The Eternal Flame Falls is a small waterfall located in the Shale Creek Preserve, a section of Chestnut Ridge Park in Western New York. A small grotto at the waterfall's base emits natural gas, which can be lit to produce a small flame. This flame is visible nearly year round, although it can be extinguished and must occasionally be re-lit.
@redenigma I may have to make a trip 😁
@Timmah1979 we had to relight it. :)
@redenigma for a brief moment yesterday I thought I wanted to move to Ithaca. I like the atmosphere. But I don't wanna deal with those winters. The whole lake thing (as beautiful as it is), I can just imagine what the snow is like
@Timmah1979 Ithaca gets less lake effect snow than Syracuse, Rochester or Buffalo areas
@redenigma I seriously would never have guessed
@Timmah1979 lake effect is mostly a Great Lakes phenomenon. sometimes the Great Salt Lake produces it too, but that's uncommon
smaller lakes don't do that because there is less temperature difference between the air & the water

@redenigma well I think I may need to reevaluate lol
@redenigma when I went up there yesterday I immediately fell in love with the area. People seem to be a tad quirky (In a good way) and really friendly (not used to that here in Utica) the downtown commons are awesome and I like the amount of outdoor activities. I could def see myself up there . But I need to explore more as I'm sure one day isn't enough time to spend there to figure out a big change like relocating
