Another year another failed car inspection (23 years and running without something major) this time I got a 2fer vs my normal one. Brakes, rotors and tires. $2000. One day I'm gonna pass inspection without anything wrong πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@Timmah1979 Quite the racket if you ask me. There aren't mandatory car inspections in my state (Washington), but my brother regularly gripes about inspections in Utah. Funny we don't have mandatory health inspections: if a brake failure in my car is a serious public safety issue, how about if I had a massive stroke behind the wheel?

@Marc_T_Benedict it's NY. Anything they can charge for they normally do. On the flip side of the coin the positives out here outweigh the negatives (I don't live in the city. I'm more upstate in the middle of nowhere πŸ˜‚) but literally every year (and 3 cars) I've had at least one major thing happen. I think I went one year without anything which was definitely an anomaly. I'm glad I haven't gone electric yet bc I can't even fathom what that bill would be like
