Recreating a real-world hop from Spokane to Montana, I take the opportunity to review Just Flight's Piper Warrior II.
Starting the Piper Archer III with a flooded engine.
Shutting down the Piper PA28-181 Archer III's engine.
From the Piper Archer III Pilot's Operating Handbook, here's how to start its engine normally. I say normally because there will be a companion video on starting an engine that's flooded.
Reducing between 250 miles between Spokane, Washington and Portland, Oregon, to a few scant minutes in Airfoillabs' King Air 350. And somewhere along the way, I become really impressed with this plane.
A sunrise hop into turbulent skies above central Pennsylvania where both xEnviro and XPRealistic are behaving :)
This is a cross-country hop in the beefy Beechcraft Bonanza G36., from pastoral Bristol to metropolitan London City.
Zipping high and fast across Washington State in TorqueSim's Cirrus SR22TN w/Avidyne Entegra avionics, supplemented by Reality XP's GTN 750 and GNS 430. Weather by xEnviro. Video to follow.
Put that turbo normalization kit in the Cirrus SR22TN to good use in flying high above solid xEnviro overcast AND take advantage of an 85 mph tailwind. Got from Detroit to southern New Jersey in just over an hour :)
This soupy flight from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to Philly International was done using xEnviro for the weather. After a surprise short field takeoff, I give my initial thoughts on the plug-in.
I loaded TorqueSim's Cirrus SR22TN (Tornado Alley, baby) and launched from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. As I was only going to Yeager in West Virginia, I probably didn't have to take it all the way up to FL240, but if one's gonna fly the 22TN, one must live a little.
We interrupt the regularly scheduled SR22-fest to bring you an abbreviated account of me earning the I-8 Rating on
PilotEdge.
A light overview of (yet) another Cirrus plane, the TorqueSim SR20. I fly from Grand Coulee Dam to Tri-Cities via the Moses Lake VOR, and It all wraps up with an unnecessarily aggressive park job next to a Skyhawk. Because the hell with high wings 🙂.
Testing the latest build along with some custom scenery. Previously, I flew from Mallorca to Ibiza in the Cirrus SR20, and in X-Plane 11. This is a refly of it in the SR22 and MSFS2020, which basically gives it a full scenic upgrade.
Low clouds almost prevented a hop to Ocean City by way of the coast in the Diamond DA40NG.
Mischief-maker extraordinaire
