Pics 1-3: Just boppin' around western Oregon en route to KPDX. Some of you oldheads might know what I mean when I say that the clouds and coloring remind me of Fly!/Fly! II (Plane: vFlyteAir Arrow III; clouds: Enhanced Skyscapes; scenery: Oregon by Orbx and Portland Intl. by Flightbeam).

Pic 4: On final KPHL Runway 26 with downtown Philly and the stadia off my right wing.

A dusky hop in HotStart's mighty mighty TBM 900 across the Keystone State to try out FltPlan Go's interface in X-Plane 11. It's a very useful the electronic flight bag app similar to Foreflight. I use for real-world flying, and sometimes, when I'm on the bus :).

¡¿Qué tal?! Sightseeing across Orbx's TrueEarth EU Spain South HD on a bright, clear day doesn't get any cooler than this. During the long cross country from Valencia to Granada to Sevilla, I go over the vFlyteAir Piper Arrow III and its E1000/G5 systems.

@ShrewLWD I cast spurious aspersions about their parentage :)

@ShrewLWD Exactly. I was under the Philly Bravo airspace.

@ShrewLWD And that is where our commonalities end, for I am team low-wing all day, every day😀 My disdain for them even extends to simming, as indicated in the attached screen cap (if you can't make it out, it's a custom skin with high wing 'kills' on the fuselage ;))

@ShrewLWD Thanks for da love :) and I hear ya. I have no heavy attachments like a household but like you I trained around 2000 and am all about the sims (because avgas and plane rentals ain't cheap). X-Plane is my goto. FS2020 is very much the hot girl from senior year - great to look at but has A LOT of growing to do before it's taken seriously.

@MrGoat Close. A Warrior. A fair rule of thumb is 99% of Cessnas are high-wings.

Made it home just as shadows were starting to get long.

'The Throne Room' from Star Wars Episode IV is my ringtone & it's my mom calling to wish me happy birthday.
Excellent timing, mom :)

@ACG2 Well, since I did it in a flight simulator, the answer is both yes and no ;)

Super-short hop from Northeast Philly to the Lehigh Valley in the Archer LX (the TX model is a trainer). All the while, I summarize what's been on my mind.

The rules of engagement are to not fire unless fired upon but, after evading the missile, the aggressor has closed to within visual range. It is then that you decide to handle the situation using the greatest economy.

Leaving Seattle for a zippy, low-altitude hop to Portland in TorqueSim's Cirrus SR22TN G3, basically to appreciate the Orbx TrueEarth adventures of both Washington and Oregon. Come for terrain, stay for the mountains.

About to watch some porn the way our grandparents did...in a dark theater surrounded by total strangers ;)

Looking to get back into flying air-to-air online. Any DCS pilots care to help an old dogfighter shake-off the rust?
