@evistre Once you use multiple monitors, there's no going back.
@soapietrekkers I went big on my last PC build when I had 980TIs SLI'd up in a liquid cooled build, had four monitors going and really I didn't need nearly that many. Was cool af though. Always love a good overkill PC build.
@soapietrekkers I'm just using a laptop with a 1070 in it and it largely slays anything I throw at it, VR included.
Before the pandemic I was prepping a new build, was looking forward to a new custom loop with hard tubing. It's a really really expensive habit to have though.
@Tail That it is lol
My ex use to hate what I'd do to machines to improve performance without spending cash. God knows what she'd think of this build or my future plans 🤣 🤣 🤣
@soapietrekkers Man I used to love undervolting and overclocking so much, it's a lot of fun. Some people just don't get it and I feel bad for them.
@Tail Yup! There is a definite art to tweaking a system for the best performance for any given task.
@soapietrekkers And it's FUN.
lmao, the laptop I have now, as soon as I got it I'm like "Better make sure I secure this thing" so naturally I put a password on the BIOS. IMMEDIATELY forgot it. Now I'm permanently locked out of it. CMOS reset didn't work, I'd have to RMA it to MSI to get it fixed. F that.
@Tail I'm on the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super. at the moment.
Not the greatest graphics card, but fitted my design specs. At the time of the build.
Thinking of liquid cooling for the next upgrade.
I like overkill on my machines, you may never need it. But it is always handy to have something in reserve just in case you do.
