NWS Hanford:

Extreme winter storm impacts are expected in the Sierra Nevada Saturday into early Monday morning due to snow load and snow amounts up to five feet. Travel is not advised.

A few strong thunderstorms are possible north of Kern County Sunday. Dangerous lightning, small hail, & wind gusts near 45 miles per hour are hazards associated with strong thunderstorms. Any thunderstorm can produce intense rainfall rates, leading to localized flooding.

Light snow is possible above 3,000 feet along I-5 over Tejon Pass and along Highway 58 over Tehachapi Pass Sunday night and Monday morning. Snow amounts will be an inch or less. Travel delays are conceivable. If traveling, allow extra time to reach your destination.
