With all the other shit going on today....
Here's your Friday Zen moment. May you find a love that looks at you, like Bruce looks at Chuck.
Coming up on the end of event day and I always start to feel like this, rolling into the final debrief...

Public service announcement: If you wait until less than 24-hours to withdraw from a full-loop interview that I got you scheduled for, don't bother including a line like "I hope to work with you and XYZ in the future." 'Cause yeah, we damn sure make a note about that in our applicant tracking system.
And if you withdraw less than 2 hours before kickoff, we've got a special list for you, that get's shared across our network.
Wowzers. Did NOT expect 13 GOP members to break ranks and vote for the infrastructure bill. Passed with a vote of 228-206 (several progressives stood firm and voted against it.)

Folks... help me... help you. If I get you set up for an interview and something happens (power outage, cable company shut of Internet, whatever), reach out and say something. When the interviewer reaches out, 20 minutes after the start time... you've made my job pretty easy, and go straight into the "not a cultural fit" pile.
Hooray! After a couple of weeks in quarantine, kiddo's are all back at school today. Only 1 tested positive, so the vaccine is doing what it's 'sposed to (thank God). Fun coupla weeks getting our brains tickled every 5 days or so - & prayers up for the girl that passed it to our kid, as they & their family apparently aren't vaccinated (and are all still sick :( ). But big kudos to her for reaching out and texting our kid to let 'em know what was going on, days before the school did.
WTAF!?! What is wrong with this freakin' country!?!

Phew - sorry for the extended absence, been a rough coupla weeks that culminated with one of the kiddo's testing positive with a breakthrough infection. So far it's just the one (whole house minus the toddler is vaxxed), but dealing with the brain-tickler follow-ups is wearing on everyone a bit.
Anyhow, happy Windows 11-eve, lol!!
So I've got a hot wheels Halloween set from last year, as well as this year's set. I'd like to auction them off here kind of like last year but was brainstorming how to involve more nauts and raise more funds.
What do ya'll think about a raffle, where you buy x number of tickets and then I do a random drawing for the winners? So tickets should be around $2- $3 each? Cute virtual tickets? Winning tickets sent with prize?
All feedback welcome.
